Victim Was Crossing Tracks at Time of Fatal Davis Accident

Davis, CA (September 16, 2019) – One person died after they were hit by an Amtrak train in Davis. The fatal accident occurred on September 16 on County Road 32A.

A person was in their vehicle and crossing the train tracks when they were hit by the train. The victim died from their injuries. The road was closed in both directions after the crash.

E-Cigarette Use Linked To ‘Cobalt Lung’

A case study published in the European Respiratory Journal in December 2019 described a 49-year-old in California who developed hard-metal pneumoconiosis after using e-cigarettes for only six months. The disease is also known as “cobalt lung.” The National Institutes of Health describes the disease as a “rare but serious disease of the lungs associated with inhalational exposure to tungsten or cobalt dust.”
