1 Killed in Bicycle Crash on La Honda Road

Driver Fled Scene of Fatal Escondido Accident

Escondido, CA (November 23, 2019) – A bicyclist was killed in a crash in Escondido. The fatal accident occurred at around noon on November 23 on La Honda Road.

A sedan collided with a 36-year-old man riding a bicycle on La Honda Road, near El Norte Parkway. The bicyclist, a Vista resident, flew off his mountain bike. Despite wearing a helmet, the man died at the accident scene.

The driver of the car never stopped. However, investigators later found the car on Aster Street, a half-mile away. Nobody recognized the car.
