1 Killed in Crash at Bena and Neumarkel Roads


2 Vehicles Collide Head-on in Fatal Bakersfield Accident

Bakersfield, CA (June 14, 2020) – One person was killed in a head-on crash in Bakersfield. The fatal accident occurred on June 14 at Bena and Neumarkel roads.

Jose Toro was driving a BMW M428i on Bena Road, near Neumarkel Road. A second vehicle, a Subaru WRX, was approaching the intersection from the other direction. Toro failed to stay in his lane and collided head-on with the Subaru. The driver of the Subaru, a 21-year-old man, died at the accident scene. Toro and a passenger were taken to a local hospital with minor injuries.
