Avila Beach, CA (October 1, 2019) – One person was killed in a crash in Avila Beach. The fatal accident occurred on the morning of October 1 at Monte Road and Avila Beach Drive.

The driver was in a Jeep Cherokee on northbound Highway 101. For unknown reasons, the driver abruptly crossed the right lanes and went off the shoulder. The Jeep went down an embankment and hit a tree. The driver died from their injuries.
