Second Person Trapped Inside Vehicle for 2 Days After Fatal Castaic Accident

Castaic, CA (January 21, 2021) – One person was killed and another was injured in a solo-vehicle crash in Castaic. The fatal accident occurred on January 21 at Oak Valley and The Old roads.

A Chevrolet pickup rolled over at the intersection and came to a rest in a remote location on a dirt road. Castaic resident Benjamin Marquez IV, 31, was killed in the crash. Another person was trapped inside the vehicle for two days. 

The person was finally rescued on January 23. The victim, a Castaic man in his 30s, had suffered major injuries, including two broken legs and head trauma. He was airlifted to a trauma center for treatment.
