Debra Glenell Christie Arrested for DUI in Fatal Fair Oaks Accident

Fair Oaks, CA (December 30, 2019) – A woman was arrested for DUI after causing a crash and killing a passenger in Fair Oaks. The fatal accident occurred on the evening of December 30 at Sunset and Pennsylvania avenues.

A vehicle was heading east on Sunset Avenue when it left the road. The impact caused the vehicle to flip over. A passenger was ejected from a vehicle. The car them rolled on top of the passenger, killing them. Two other passengers were inside the vehicle. Both were taken to the hospital as a precaution.

The driver of the car – identified as Debra Glenell Christie, 39, from Folsom – fled the accident scene on foot. She was arrested later that evening. She was found to be driving under the influence. She was booked into jail, where she is facing several felony charges, including DUI, hit and run, manslaughter and a probation violation.
