Juan Padilla-Lopez Arrested for DUI in Fatal Santa Rosa Accident

Santa Rosa, CA (August 12, 2019) – One person was killed in a DUI crash in Santa Rosa. The fatal accident occurred on the evening of August 12 on Bicentennial Way.

An Infiniti SUV was traveling on the road when it rear-ended a motorcycle. The driver of the SUV and his passenger were exiting the vehicle when the passenger was hit by a Toyota SUV. The passenger died from their injuries. 

The driver of the Infiniti, Juan Padilla-Lopez, 33, was arrested for DUI and felony hit-and-run.

E-Cigarette Use Linked To ‘Cobalt Lung’

A case study published in the European Respiratory Journal in December 2019 described a 49-year-old in California who developed hard-metal pneumoconiosis after using e-cigarettes for only six months. The disease is also known as “cobalt lung.” The National Institutes of Health describes the disease as a “rare but serious disease of the lungs associated with inhalational exposure to tungsten or cobalt dust.”
