1 Killed in Crash on Highway 138 Near Wimmer Road


4 Vehicles Involved in Fatal Phelan Accident

Phelan, CA (January 9, 2021) – One person was killed in a multi-vehicle crash in Phelan. The fatal accident occurred on the afternoon of January 9 on Highway 138.

A crash happened on Highway 138 near Wimmer Road. A Ford F-150 pickup truck, a Honda Civic, a Jeep SUV and a Lexus IS 250 were traveling at high speeds and passing multiple vehicles. The Honda collided head-on with the Ford. It then hit the Lexus and Jeep SUV.

The Jeep overturned due to the impact, ejecting two people. The Honda was split in half due to the crash. The driver of the Honda, an unidentified man, was airlifted to a local hospital, where he later died. The driver of the Ford F-150 and a male passenger in the Honda were both hospitalized with unknown injuries.
