1 Killed in Crash on Highway 166 Near Pentland Road


Semi Truck, Pickup Truck Collide Head-on in Fatal Maricopa Accident

Maricopa, CA (May 28, 2020) – One person was killed in a head-on crash in Maricopa. The fatal accident occurred on the afternoon of May 28 on Highway 166.

A Chevrolet pickup truck and a Freightliner Cascadia semi truck collided head-on on Highway 166, near Pentland Road. The Chevrolet then collided with a Subaru. 

The driver of the Chevrolet, a 63-year-old man from Bakersfield, was killed in the crash. The Subaru driver, Karen Almas, 63, of San Luis Obispo, was injured. She was taken to a local hospital with moderate injuries. The driver of the semi truck, Ralph Seeley of Arizona, was not injured.
