1 Killed in Crash on Highway 85 Near Union Avenue


4 Vehicles Collide in Fatal San Jose Accident

San Jose, CA (June 15, 2020) – One person was killed in a multi-vehicle crash in San Jose. The fatal accident occurred on the evening of June 15 on Highway 85.

A BMW M8 driven by Svyatoslav Solovyev, 33, of Cupertino, was traveling on southbound Highway 85, near Union Avenue, when it turned and collided with a Subaru.

The BMW then crashed into a Hyundai Accent, and the Hyundai collided with a Toyota Camry. The driver of the Hyundai, a 61-year-old Hollister woman, was taken to a local hospital, where she later died. Solovyev was arrested for felony DUI and vehicular manslaughter.
