1 Killed in Crash on Highway 99 Near Atwater-Merced Expressway


Pedestrian Hit by 3 Vehicles in Fatal Atwater Accident 

Atwater, CA (January 31, 2021) – A pedestrian was killed in a crash in Atwater. The fatal accident occurred on the morning of January 31 on Highway 99.

A pedestrian was attempting to cross the southbound lanes of Highway 99, near Atwater-Merced Expressway, when they were hit by a vehicle. The pedestrian was also hit by a big rig and another vehicle. 

The pedestrian died at the accident scene. The drivers remained at the crash site.
