1 Killed in Head-on Crash on Mt. Israel Road


Speed, Wet Roads Contribute to Fatal Escondido Accident

Escondido, CA (November 28, 2019) – One person was killed in a head-on crash in Escondido. The fatal accident occurred on the afternoon of November 28 on Mt. Israel Road.

A 47-year-old man from Escondido was driving a Toyota Tundra and speeding as he entered a turn. The wet roads caused him to cross into the opposing lane and hit a Subaru Crosstrek head-on.

The man died at the accident scene. The driver of the Subaru, a 27-year-old woman from Encinitas, was hospitalized with major injuries.
