Victim Hit by Car in Fatal Spring Valley Accident

Pedestrian Fatality

Spring Valley, CA (October 27, 2019) – A pedestrian was killed in a crash in Spring Valley. The fatal accident occurred on the morning of October 27 on Highway 94. 

A pedestrian was hit by a Toyota Prius in the westbound lanes of Highway 94 at Bancroft Drive. The victim had gotten out of a vehicle and walked across the highway when they were hit. The pedestrian died at the accident scene.

E-Cigarette Use Linked To ‘Cobalt Lung’

A case study published in the European Respiratory Journal in December 2019 described a 49-year-old in California who developed hard-metal pneumoconiosis after using e-cigarettes for only six months. The disease is also known as “cobalt lung.” The National Institutes of Health describes the disease as a “rare but serious disease of the lungs associated with inhalational exposure to tungsten or cobalt dust.”
