2 Boys Dead After Perris Street Race
Perris, CA (May 15, 2018) –A head-on collision in an illegal street race has killed two young boys and injured two men. The fatal accident on May 15 on Oakwood Road in Perris.
A Honda Accord and Nissan Altima lined up to illegally race each other on Oakwood Road. Both were driving down Oakwood, with the Accord driving on the wrong side of the street. The Altima slammed head-on into a Nissan Versa in the same lane, going in the right direction.
The driver of the Versa suffered moderate injuries. Two boys inside – ages 6 and 8 – were taken to a local hospital, where they later died.
The driver of the Accord driver suffered moderate injuries. He is expected to face vehicular manslaughter charges. The driver of the Altima took off, and police are looking for him.
