Car Crashes Into Construction Zone in Cayucos Accident

Cayucos, CA (June 25, 2019) – Three people, including two county workers, were injured in a crash in Cayucos. The accident occurred on the morning of June 25 on Chaney Avenue. 

The crash happened when an 81-year-old male driver exited northbound Highway 1 onto Chaney Avenue. He crashed into a construction zone and hit two San Luis Obispo County employees. One was pinned underneath the vehicle. Both were hospitalized. 

The driver suffered unknown injuries and was taken to a local hospital. A passenger in the car was not injured.
