Woman Rear-Ends Big Rig in Wilton Accident

Wilton, CA (August 15, 2019) – Two people were injured in a big rig crash in Wilton. The accident occurred on the morning of August 15 on Highway 99.

The crash was caused by an 18-year-old woman driving an SUV who made an unsafe lane change southbound Highway 99 at Dillard Road. The SUV then rear-ended a big rig, which then lost control and hit the guardrail. The big rig jackknifed, blocking both lanes. Both the woman and the driver of the big rig, a 54-year-old man, suffered minor injuries and were taken to a local hospital.
