Driver Arrested in Hit and Run Accident in Antioch

Antioch, CA (August 24, 2020) – Two people were injured in a hit and run crash in Antioch. The accident occurred on the evening of August 24 at Antioch at Deer Valley Road and Asilomar Drive.

A pickup truck and a sedan collided at the intersection after the driver of the truck ran a red light. The driver, a 29-year-old man, and his female passenger fled the accident scene on foot. Two occupants of the sedan were trapped inside the wreckage. They suffered major injuries and were airlifted to a trauma center. One person is in critical condition. The driver was later arrested.
