Distracted Driving Causes Bakersfield Accident
Bakersfield, CA (January 29, 2019) – Two people were injured in a crash at a Bakersfield intersection. The accident occurred on the afternoon of January 29 at Wallace and Famoso roads.
A Saab sedan was heading east on Famoso Road while a Jeep Wrangler was heading south on Wallace Road. Both vehicles were approaching a stop sign. The driver of the Jeep ran the stop sign, hitting the Saab.
The Saab spun out and hit a tree, while the Jeep flipped over onto the shoulder. A passenger in the Saab suffered a broken leg and was taken to a local hospital. Others inside the Saab complained of pain. One was also taken to the hospital for treatment.
The driver of the Jeep claimed he was distracted at the time.
