Teen Arrested for DUI in Santa Maria Accident
Santa Maria, CA (November 10, 2019) – Two people were injured in a DUI crash in Santa Maria. The accident occurred just before midnight on November 10 on Highway 101.
Pismo Beach Woman was seriously injured in a traffic collision involving two vehicles in Santa Maria late Sunday night, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The collision was reported at about 11:46 p.m. on November 10, along Highway 101 near Highway 166.
A Ford Focus driven by an 18-year-old from Solvang was heading north on Highway 101, near Highway 166. The Ford was speeding when it rear-ended a Nissan Sentra driven by a 57-year-old woman from Pismo Beach.
The Nissan hit the center median, while the Ford crashed into a dirt embankment and landed on its roof. Both drivers suffered major injuries in the crash and were taken to a local hospital. The teen was arrested for DUI.
