2 Injured in Crash on Highway 101 Near Palmer Road
Solo-Vehicle Accident in Los Alamos Causes Serious Injuries
Los Alamos, CA (July 15, 2019) – A solo-vehicle crash in Los Alamos has injured two women. The accident occurred on the morning of July 15 on Highway 101.
Fremont resident Jacquelyn Chau, 19, was traveling south in a Mini Cooper on Highway 101 near Palmer Road when she drifted to the left. She overcorrected and lost control. The vehicle went off the road and rolled over. It then hit a tree and landed on its roof.
Chau and her passenger, a 21-year-old woman from Antioch, were trapped inside the Mini Cooper. They were rescued by firefighters. Chau lost consciousness and suffered cuts to her forehead and neck. She was airlifted to a local hospital. Her passenger was hospitalized with a broken arm.
