2 Injured in Crash on Interstate 8 Near Baltimore Drive


Stephen Briseno Arrested for DUI in La Mesa Accident

La Mesa, CA (May 21, 2020) – Two people were injured in a DUI crash in La Mesa. The accident occurred just after midnight on May 21 on Interstate 8.

Stephen Briseno, 24, from El Cajon, was speeding in a Cadillac CTS on eastbound Interstate 8, near Baltimore Drive, when he rear-ended a Honda Civic. The Honda – an Uber vehicle – overturned, causing major injuries to the driver, a 36-year-old man. The passenger, a 22-year-old woman, suffered minor injuries. Both were taken to a local hospital.

Briseno was not injured but he showed signs of alcohol intoxication. He was arrested for DUI and was booked into San Diego County Jail.
