2 Injured in Crash on Interstate 8 Near Crestwood Road


Car Rear-Ends Big Rig in Boulevard Accident

Boulevard, CA (May 11, 2020) – Two people were injured in a DUI crash in Boulevard. The accident occurred on the morning of May 11 on Interstate 8.

A Subaru WRX was traveling on westbound Interstate 8 when it rear-ended a big rig near Crestwood Road. The car veered across a center median area and came to rest on the eastbound side of the freeway.

The driver of the Subaru, Justin Strawder, 21, of Spring Valley, suffered minor injuries.  His passenger, an 18-year-old woman, suffered major injuries. Both were taken to a local hospital. Strawder was later booked into jail for DUI.
