2 Injured in High-Speed Crash on Highway 180 Near Highway 168

Driver Arrested for DUI in Fresno Accident

Fresno, CA (March 28, 2020) – Two people were injured in a multi-vehicle crash in Fresno. The accident occurred on the evening of March 28 on Highway 180. 

The driver of a Toyota Camry was going more than 100 mph on westbound Highway 180 when it rear-ended another vehicle near the Highway 168 interchange. The vehicle became disabled in the roadway, sparking a chain reaction crash. In all, seven vehicles were involved.

The Camry kept going until it finally stopped in an embankment, where it caught fire. The driver suffered major head injuries and was taken to a local hospital. A person in another car was also injured and taken to a local hospital.

The driver of the Camry was driving under the influence. They will be taken to Fresno County Jail upon release from the hospital.
