2 Injured in Wrong-Way Crash on Interstate 5 Near First Avenue
Driver Arrested for DUI in San Diego Accident
San Diego, CA (October 7, 2019) – Two people were injured in a wrong-way crash in San Diego. The accident occurred on the morning of October 7 on Interstate 5.
A 38-year-old man from Chula Vista was driving southbound on northbound Interstate 5, near First Avenue, when he collided head-on with a Nissan Sentra. Two other vehicles then crashed into the Nissan.
A 61-year-old woman from San Ysidro suffered major injuries. A 32-year-old man from San Diego complained of chest pain. Both were taken to local hospitals. The wrong-way driver was arrested for DUI.
