Fatal Accident

El Monte, CA (November 17, 2019) – Two people were killed and another was injured in a multi-vehicle crash in El Monte. The fatal accident occurred on the morning of November 17 on the 10 Freeway.

Six vehicles collided on the westbound 10 Freeway, near Valley Boulevard, causing a fatal chain reaction. An Acura, driven by a 52-year-old West Covina man, collided with the center divider. An approaching Ford Transit then hit the Acura. That caused the driver of the Acura to be ejected. He landed in the roadway.

A Harley-Davidson motorcycle, driven by a 25-year-old West Covina man, then hit the Ford Transit. The rider was ejected from the motorcycle. Three other vehicles – a Mercedes-Benz E350, a Chevrolet S-10 and a Honda Civic – then hit the Acura.

The motorcyclist and the driver of the Acura died at the accident scene. The driver of the Ford Transit was hospitalized with minor injuries.
