Car Catches Fire in Fatal San Ramon Accident

San Ramon, CA (January 10, 2021) – Two people were killed and two others were injured in a crash in San Ramon. The fatal accident occurred on the morning of January 10 on Interstate 680.

A Volkswagen Jetta was traveling on southbound Interstate 680, near Alcosta Boulevard, when it left the roadway, swerved back onto the road and hit a center median wall. A Ford Fiesta then collided with the Jetta. This caused a fire that engulfed the Jetta in flames. Two people inside the Jetta died. Another person was hospitalized with major injuries. The driver of the Fiesta was taken to a local hospital with moderate injuries
