SUV Loses Control in Fatal Merced Accident

Merced, CA (December 5, 2019) – A rollover crash in Merced has killed two people and injured two others. The fatal accident occurred on the morning of December 5 on Santa Fe Drive.

A Toyota Highlander was traveling on Santa Fe Drive when the driver, a 37-year-old man from Delhi, lost control. The Toyota hit a canal embankment and rolled over several times. The vehicle then caught fire.

The driver and a 22-year-old Merced woman sitting in the front seat were killed in the crash. Two other passengers – Jasmine Stamps, 22, and Wesley Weeks, 26, both from Merced – were hospitalized with moderate to severe injuries.
