SUV Hits Box Truck in Fatal Zamora Accident

Fatal Accident

Zamora, CA (August 23, 2019) – Two people were killed and three others were injured in a crash in Zamora. The fatal accident occurred just after midnight on August 23 on Interstate 5.

The driver of an SUV was headed north on Interstate 5, near County Road 95, when it hit the side of a box truck. Both vehicles caught fire. The box truck was sideways at the time of the crash.

Two people were trapped inside the SUV. They died in the crash. Three others were injured and taken to a local hospital.

E-Cigarette Use Linked To ‘Cobalt Lung’

A case study published in the European Respiratory Journal in December 2019 described a 49-year-old in California who developed hard-metal pneumoconiosis after using e-cigarettes for only six months. The disease is also known as “cobalt lung.” The National Institutes of Health describes the disease as a “rare but serious disease of the lungs associated with inhalational exposure to tungsten or cobalt dust.”
