2 Killed in Crash at Alum Rock and Alexander Avenues


Van Driver Arrested for Vehicular Manslaughter, Reckless Driving in Fatal San Jose Accident

San Jose, CA (September 27, 2020) – Two people were killed in a crash in San Jose. The fatal accident occurred on the morning of September 27 at Alum Rock and Alexander avenues.

A work van was speeding on Alum Rock Avenue when it ran a red light at the intersection. It collided with a Nissan Maxima. 

The man driving the Maxima died at the accident scene. The female passenger was taken to a local hospital, where she later died. The driver of the van was not injured. He was arrested for vehicular manslaughter and reckless driving.
