Vehicles Collide Head-on in Fatal Garberville Accident

Garberville, CA (December 18, 2019) – Two people were killed in a head-on crash in Garberville. The fatal accident occurred on the morning of December 18 on Highway 101.

A white sedan was heading north on Highway 101, near Benbow Drive, when crossed into southbound traffic for unknown reasons. It collided head-on with a gray hatchback. The vehicles blocked both southbound lanes. Both drivers died at the accident scene. Neither had any passengers

E-Cigarette Use Linked To ‘Cobalt Lung’

A case study published in the European Respiratory Journal in December 2019 described a 49-year-old in California who developed hard-metal pneumoconiosis after using e-cigarettes for only six months. The disease is also known as “cobalt lung.” The National Institutes of Health describes the disease as a “rare but serious disease of the lungs associated with inhalational exposure to tungsten or cobalt dust.”
