Nicolaus, CA (August 21, 2019) – Two drivers died in a fiery crash in Nicolaus. The fatal accident occurred on August 21 on Highway 99.

A Chevrolet Silverado crossed out of the southbound lanes of Highway 99, near Power Line Road, and turned into northbound traffic for unknown reasons. It slammed into a Ford Escape. The Ford landed in a ditch. The Chevrolet also landed in the ditch and burst into flames.

Both drivers were alone in their cars. Both died in the crash.

Our heartfelt condolences go out to the friends and loved ones of the victims.

E-Cigarette Use Linked To ‘Cobalt Lung’

A case study published in the European Respiratory Journal in December 2019 described a 49-year-old in California who developed hard-metal pneumoconiosis after using e-cigarettes for only six months. The disease is also known as “cobalt lung.” The National Institutes of Health describes the disease as a “rare but serious disease of the lungs associated with inhalational exposure to tungsten or cobalt dust.”
