2 Killed in Wrong-Way Crash on Highway 395

3 Vehicles Involved in Fatal Hallelujah Junction Accident

Hallelujah Junction, CA (July 25, 2020) – Two people were killed in a wrong-way crash in Hallelujah Junction. The fatal accident occurred on the evening of July 25 on Highway 395.

Three vehicles collided on Highway 395. A Chevrolet pickup, driven by a 38-year-old man from Hayward, was heading north in the southbound lane. A Chevrolet, driven by R. Wilson, 54, of Reno, was also traveling southbound on the highway. Wilson swerved to avoid a head-on collision but he was sideswiped by the truck.

The pickup truck collided head-on with another vehicle, driven by a 43-year-old man from Houston, Texas. The Houston man died at the accident scene. The wrong-way driver was taken to a local hospital, where he later died. Nobody inside Wilson’s car was injured.
