Sacramento, CA (August 22, 2019) – Two light rail trains collided in Sacramento, injuring 27 people. The accident occurred on the evening of August 22 near Marconi Avenue.

A Sacramento Regional Transit light rail train crashed into a test train parallel to Del Paso Park, near Marconi Avenue. The crash injured 27 people on board the train. Thirteen people were hospitalized. Two suffered moderate injuries. The others were treated at the accident scene and released.
