Car Hits Tree, Catches Fire in Fatal Irvine Accident

Irvine, CA (November 22, 2019) – Three men were killed and another was injured in a solo-vehicle crash in Irvine. The fatal accident occurred on the morning of November 22 near UC Irvine. 

 A Mercedes-Benz hit a tree for unknown reasons. The car then burst into flames, killing three young men inside. Another man was hospitalized with unknown injuries.

E-Cigarette Use Linked To ‘Cobalt Lung’

A case study published in the European Respiratory Journal in December 2019 described a 49-year-old in California who developed hard-metal pneumoconiosis after using e-cigarettes for only six months. The disease is also known as “cobalt lung.” The National Institutes of Health describes the disease as a “rare but serious disease of the lungs associated with inhalational exposure to tungsten or cobalt dust.”
