Bus Goes Over Embankment in Fatal Fallbrook Accident

Fallbrook, CA (February 22, 2020) – A charter bus lost control in Fallbrook, killing three people and injuring 18 others. The fatal accident occurred on the morning of February 22 on Interstate 15.

The charter bus lost control on the rain-slicked Interstate 15. It then rolled down an embankment near State Route 76. There were 21 people on the bus. Eighteen passengers were thrown from the bus. They were taken to various hospitals with injuries ranging from life-threatening to non-life threatening. Three women were killed in the crash. One of the dead was trapped under the bus.

One of the victims, a 5-year-old boy, was airlifted to a local hospital with a head injury. The bus driver suffered minor injuries. The bus was traveling from El Monte to San Ysidro at the time of the crash
