Truck Attempted to Flee Border Patrol in Campo Accident

Campo, CA (November 29, 2018) – A truck attempted to flee Border Patrol at high speeds, leading to major Campo accident. The fatal crash happened on the afternoon of November 29 on Interstate 8.

The crash happened when a Chevrolet Silverado packed with 11 people failed to yield at the U.S.-Mexico. U.S. Customs and Border Protection agents deployed a spike strip and the truck hit it at speeds of more than 100 mph.

Nine people were in the bed of the pickup truck. Two men and one woman were killed in the crash. Eight were injured. The driver was wearing a seatbelt.
