7-Eleven Worker Shot, Killed During Armed Robbery

Employee Shot by Handgun in Fatal Whittier Incident

Whittier, CA (February 22, 2020) – A 7-Eleven clerk was killed during an armed robbery in Whittier. The fatal incident occurred on the morning of February 22 on Santa Fe Springs Road.

A robber walked into the 7-Eleven carrying a semi-automatic handgun. The robber demanded cash and the clerk was cooperating, but he was still shot. The victim, a man in his 20s or 30s, died from his injuries. Two customers were inside the store but were not injured. The suspect fled the scene. He is described as a man about 5 feet 7 inches tall, wearing dark clothing, gloves, and a bandana.
