Cat Causes Head-on Accident in Lakeport
Lakeport, CA (July 19, 2019) – Nine people were injured when a mountain lion caused a head-on crash in Lakeport. The accident occurred on the evening of July 19 on State Route 29.
A Ford F-150 pickup truck hit a large mountain lion on State Route 29 and then veered into the path of a Lexus SUV. The Ford had four people inside, while the Lexus had five people inside. All nine people were injured in the crash. Four people suffered serious injuries, including two who were not wearing seatbelts. The mountain lion died in the accident.
