Reckless Driving Causes Fatal Cajon Pass Accident

Cajon Pass, CA (December 8, 2019) – One person was killed and five others were injured in a crash in Cajon Pass. The fatal accident occurred on the morning of December 8 on Interstate 15. 

Two vehicles collided on southbound Interstate 15, near Oak Hill Road. The crash was caused by a reckless driver, who spun out and hit another vehicle. One person was found lying in the road. They died at the accident scene. Two others suffered serious injuries, while three people suffered minor injuries. Two children were involved in the crash.

E-Cigarette Use Linked To ‘Cobalt Lung’

A case study published in the European Respiratory Journal in December 2019 described a 49-year-old in California who developed hard-metal pneumoconiosis after using e-cigarettes for only six months. The disease is also known as “cobalt lung.” The National Institutes of Health describes the disease as a “rare but serious disease of the lungs associated with inhalational exposure to tungsten or cobalt dust.”
