Woman Injured in Hit and Run Crash on State Route 67 Near Dye Road
Bicyclist Airlifted to Hospital in Ramona Accident
Ramona, CA (October 2, 2019) – A bicyclist was seriously injured in a hit and run crash in Ramona. The accident occurred on the morning of October 2 on State Route 67.
A Ford Edge was riding on the shoulder of State Route 67, near Dye Road. The vehicle went directly into the path of a 53-year-old woman riding her bicycle. The two collided and the woman was ejected from her bicycle. She landed on the roadway and the bicycle became lodged in the front grille of the Edge. The driver did not stop, continuing on northbound State Route 67.
The bicyclist suffered major injuries and was airlifted to a local hospital. A bystander tried chasing down the suspect, but lost track of it. The Ford was using a California license plate that read 8KPJ239, but the license plate was determined to be stolen.
