Man Loses Control, Dies in Fatal Head-on Accident in Hawthorne

Hawthorne, CA (January 7, 2020) – A man was killed in a head-on crash in Hawthorne. The fatal accident occurred on the evening of January 7 on the 405 Freeway. 

The crash happened on the northbound 405 Freeway, near Rosecrans Avenue. Adam Herrera was driving a Honda when he lost control of his car, spun out and stopped, with his Honda facing the wrong way. An Infiniti was also heading north when the two vehicles collided head-on.

Herrera died from his injuries. The two occupants of the Infiniti complained of pain.
