
Adolfo Sanchez Killed While Working for Lind Marine
Conveyor System Collapses in Fatal Petaluma Accident

Petaluma, CA (January 3, 2020) – A man was killed when a conveyor system collapsed while working for Lind Marine in Petaluma. The fatal accident occurred on East D Street.
Adolfo Sanchez, 31, was working atop an unused silo along the Petaluma River. He and a co-worker were dismantling the heavy metal casing with a cutting torch when a conveyor system collapsed. Sanchez suffered major chest injuries. He was airlifted to a local hospital, where he later died.
Sanchez, who worked as a plant manager, was a 13-year employee of Lind Marine. The company is cooperating with Cal/OSHA, who is investigating the case and looking for any violations of workplace safety. Investigators are interviewing Lind Marine workers and supervisors. They have six months to investigate Sanchez’s death, issue citations and order any changes at the company. Lind Marine will have 15 days to file an appeal once the investigation is complete.
