Aide Bustamante, 1 Other Person Killed in Crash on 5 Freeway Near Paramount Boulevard


Cash Rencanzone Arrested for Hit and Run in Fatal Downey Accident

Downey, CA (May 23, 2020) – Two people were killed in a crash in Downey. The fatal accident occurred on the afternoon of May 23 on the 5 Freeway.

A Fiat 500 was on southbound 5 Freeway when it swerved to the right and rear-ended a Nissan Sentra that was heading north on Paramount Boulevard. The Nissan went down a dirt embankment and crashed into a tree. Aide Bustamante, 32, of Huntington Beach, and his female passenger died at the accident scene.

The driver of the Fiat, Cash Rencanzone, of Peoria, Arizona, fled the scene on foot but was later arrested by police for hit and run.
