Gerardo Jesus Castro Arrested for DUI in Templeton Accident

Templeton, CA (February 2, 2021) – A man was injured in a motorcycle crash in Templeton. The accident occurred on the morning of February 2 on Old Country Road.

Gerardo Jesus Castro, 19, was riding a Yamaha motorcycle on Old Country Road with Alejandro Palacios Garibary, 19, as a passenger. Castro failed to negotiate a curve and veered off the road. The motorcycle crossed a yard and crashed through a fence. Both riders were ejected.

Garibary was injured and taken to a local hospital. Castro fled the accident scene on foot, but was later found by police. He was hospitalized for injuries as well as arrested for DUI and felony hit and run.
