Man Hit by Car in Santa Barbara Accident
Santa Barbara, CA (October 8, 2019) – A bicycle rider was injured in a crash in Santa Barbara. The accident occurred on the evening of October 8 on Painted Cave Road.
A 30-year-old man from Santa Barbara was riding his bicycle south on Painted Cave Road, near Highway 154. While navigating a curve in the road, the cyclist veered into oncoming traffic. He was hit by a Toyota Prius and ejected from the bicycle.
The bicyclist was wearing a helmet, but still suffered serious head injuries. He was taken to a local hospital. The driver of the Prius, a 70-year-old woman from Santa Barbara, was not injured.
