Bicyclist Killed in Crash at Blackstone Street and Prosperity Avenue

Barry Tarrell Dantzler Arrested in Fatal Tulare Accident

Tulare, CA (May 29, 2020) – A bicyclist was killed in a police pursuit in Tulare. The fatal accident occurred on the evening of May 29 at Blackstone Street and Prosperity Avenue.

A police officer attempted to pull over a vehicle, but the driver, Barry Tarrell Dantzler, 30, sped off. He lost control and hit a utility pole. The vehicle rolled over several times due to the impact. It then hit a woman who was riding a bicycle at the intersection.

The woman died at the accident scene. Dantzler was later arrested and faces multiple charges, including homicide, home invasion and felony evading charges.
