Bicyclist Killed in Crash at University Avenue and Alamo Drive

Man Hit by Car in Fatal San Diego Accident

San Diego, CA (May 26, 2020) – A man was killed in a bicycle crash in San Diego. The accident occurred on the evening of May 26 at University Avenue and Alamo Drive.

A man believed to be in his 40s or early 50s was riding his bicycle on the sidewalk when he turned in front of a Toyota Prius at the intersection. The two collided, ejecting the rider. 

The driver exited their vehicle and moved the bicyclist out of the road. The driver then fled the accident scene. Emergency crews rushed the bike rider to a local hospital, where he later died. The Toyota Prius was found abandoned, but the driver is still at large.
