Commercial Truck Hits Man in Fatal Hit and Run Accident in San Jose

San Jose, CA (November 21, 2019) – A bicyclist was killed in a hit and run crash in San Jose. The fatal accident occurred on the morning of November 21 on Old Bayshore Highway.

Police officers found a man dead in the road in the 1500 block of Old Bayshore Highway. It was determined that a white commercial truck was heading west on the highway when it hit the man, who was riding a bicycle. The truck fled the accident scene and has not been found.

E-Cigarette Use Linked To ‘Cobalt Lung’

A case study published in the European Respiratory Journal in December 2019 described a 49-year-old in California who developed hard-metal pneumoconiosis after using e-cigarettes for only six months. The disease is also known as “cobalt lung.” The National Institutes of Health describes the disease as a “rare but serious disease of the lungs associated with inhalational exposure to tungsten or cobalt dust.”
