Big Rig, SUV Collide in Fatal Rainbow Accident
Rainbow, CA (July 23, 2019) – A boy was killed and three others were injured in a big rig crash in Rainbow. The fatal accident occurred on the afternoon of July 23 at Old Highway 395 and Rainbow Glen Road.
A big rig hauling sand and a Honda Pilot SUV collided at the intersection. A 13-year-old boy died at the accident scene. A girl was airlifted to a local hospital with moderate to serious injuries. The driver of the Honda Pilot suffered major injuries and was taken to a local hospital. The truck driver was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.
