Bakersfield, CA (May 28, 2019) – A man was killed in a pedestrian accident in Bakersfield. The fatal crash happened on the afternoon of May 28 on Buck Owens Boulevard.

Shafter resident Brian Christopher Chairez, 31, was hit by a sedan while running across the road in the 2600 block of Buck Owens Boulevard. He died at the accident scene. The driver stopped and cooperated with police.
